Morbid But Beautiful
Today has been a lazy day (as Sundays should be, but this is the first Sunday I’ve had off in months). I’ve been going through some photos I took of some friends the other day. Post-processing is probably my last favorite part of photography, but I love when you’re trying to get an effect to work, and suddenly, you stumble across the perfect rendering of the photo. Ooh la la, an enchanted moment!
Since I was going to be stuck on my computer all day anyway, I decided go through some of the summer mixes from yewknee.com. He lets his readers put together mixes for others to download. It’s been a while since I found a gem from his website, but The Stars’ “Your Ex-Lover Is Dead” is gorgeous.
Strangely, I think it influenced my post-processing of the photos I was working on, since I ended up putting it on repeat for most of the day (one of my more lovable quirks, I’m sure). Strange because the photos are for an engaged couple….
I hope they like dark and dramatic :)
