The Making of #114

I’m a manager where I work. Some people would think of me as being responsible. So why do I have to dredge up some internal force buried deep inside just to wash dishes and do laundry? At work, I make a point to work as efficiently as possible, but I can’t figure out any particularly efficient way to do household chores besides just DOING them (although I do use the timer on my watch to time the laundry so I can change it out the moment its done - and since I hang everything up immediately, I never have to iron, which is good, because I can’t iron).
I would MUCH rather be working on my new website (this one), or taking photos, or playing my piano, or reading. However, the doldrums of today did lead to this picture,
which I’m quite happy with (I know, I know, preposition at the end of a sentence…). I’ve always liked the dichotomy of gears themselves - such an emblem of mechanization and modernity - covered in rust and grime. I joined the Pact Group today, which means that I have agreed to take my camera with me everywhere I go and to take those pictures I wouldn’t get otherwise. I’m most worried about taking it to work. I’m scared to death it’ll get stolen if it’s not kept in the office, and we’re not technically supposed to have bags in the office. But hey, every other girl who works in there brings a purse, and so I’ll just have to pretend my camera bag is MY purse (which it is anyway whenever I don’t have pockets).
